Expertise – Welding Technology, Foundry Engineering & Prototype Development
He is a distinguished mechanical engineering expert, technology leader, and former Scientist at Government laboratory, with over three decades of experience in welding technology, foundry engineering, prototype development, process engineering, technology scale-up, and industrial R&D support. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from one of the finest institution in India.
He led and contributed to numerous technology development and industrial consultancy projects as Principal Investigator and Project Leader, with particular expertise in welding science and technology, computational welding mechanics, engineering design, process development, fabrication technologies, and technology transfer.
He possesses extensive experience in managing engineering services, central workshops, prototype development facilities, mechanical maintenance, electrical engineering services, captive foundry operations, blacksmithy, and institute-wide engineering infrastructure. His strong background in welding, fabrication, foundry engineering, and mechanical systems enables him to address complex manufacturing challenges involving joining technologies, repair solutions, prototype development, industrial scale-up, and process reliability.
His recent work includes leading translational and industry-oriented projects in advanced manufacturing, process engineering, waste utilization, mechano-chemistry, and prototype development. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed journal papers, presented over 60 papers at national and international conferences, and expert in engineering and for successful technology demonstration, scale-up, and transfer of technology to industry.
As a member of the Expert Advisory Panel of PODDAR METALLURGICAL SOLUTIONS, He contributes specialized expertise in welding technology, foundry engineering, fabrication support, prototype development, mechanical design, and industrial scale-up. His experience supports clients in improving welding quality, solving fabrication and joining-related challenges, strengthening foundry operations, developing engineering prototypes, and translating innovative concepts into practical industrial solutions.
